Waiting on the Flop
One of the easiest ways to start building your bankroll is to use the flop to help you tell a story. The key to winning these pots is first making sure you isolate the weak players by raising the blinds and see if anyone bites. Once the flop hits, look to see if it could make a hand or if an ace hits, and now you raise all in and the table will fold to you. The key here is even if you get them to call on the blinds, make like the flop made your hand stronger and they will not want to have to pay any more to see the turn and the river cards.
Waiting in the Weeds
Another way to be able to start picking away at the other players chips is to simply lie in the weeds and pounce at the right moments. The way that you do this is simple call any bets before the flop and then call the bets on the flop. What you are waiting for is the board to pair or a straight or flush draw to make it. Once you have a made hand showing on the board, if the rest of the table checks for fear of that, then strike hard. Push all your chips and make them decide to fight or to run.
